Under 12 Boys Final - Soccer Center Stadium, Vaughan
The Under 12 Boys Ontario Cup Final kicked off at 10:00am at the Soccer Centre in Vaughan on Saturday, September 8. Due to the weather, the game was moved to the indoor turf rather than outside. Woodbridge came out flying and was rewarded early with a goal in the 3rd minute by #21 Luca Picheca. Woodbridge dominated the possession for the remainder of the first half, but was unable to increase their lead after the first 35. Vaughan picked up the pace in the second half but was unable to convert some early chances. Despite their best efforts, Vaughan could not find an equalizer and the Woodbridge Strikers won with a 1-0 victory. The Boston Pizza Player of the Game for the Vaughan Battlecats is #1 Nicholas Diaco.

VAUGHAN, September 9 2012- The Women’s Ontario Cup Final kicked off at 8:00 pm at The Soccer Centre in Vaughan. Both teams came out strong and battled hard but the game remained scoreless at half time. The crowd cheered as both teams shared opportunities throughout the second half. With no score at the end of regulation time, North London won 4-3 on kicks from the penalty mark. The Boston Pizza Player of the Game for Vaughan was #00 Sarah Fiorini.
All in all a very successful year!
