The Vaughan Azzurri 94 met Newmarket United in the Under 18 Girls Semi-Final on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at The Soccer Centre. Both teams came out energized and ready to play, but it was Vaughan Azzurri's #12 Emily Scott with the first goal of the game in the 15th minute. Newmarket used this goal against to their advantage by coming back and scoring right away, With both teams tied 1-1 the pressure was on for the next goal, it would be Vaughan's #15 Tomika McIntosh in the 48th minute of the game. Newmarket goal to make the game a 2-2 tie. After a well fought 90 minute battle, this game was going to penalty kicks to determine a winner. On Sunday, July 29, 2012 the Vaughan Azzurri played the Oakville Girls A in the Final on Sunday at 10:00 am once again at the Soccer Centre in Vaughan. It was a very hot day and the Azzurri played their A game. Oakville A was a complete team. A team that was very well balanced and fit. The Azzurri girls outchanced them and deserved better results. This was a 1-0 loss but to Coach Vito this was a win for our girls. They followed the system to perfection and with some luck they could have won this game.

The Boston Pizza Player of the Game for Vaughan was - #7 Danya Fenech.
